The Bicycles are Coming!

In the July 2021 edition of The Trumpet, the Social Ministry team published an

article that began: ”The bicyclers are coming! The bicyclers are coming!”

Blessing upon blessing, the bicyclers visited again, and stayed overnight at All

Saints Lutheran Church here in Novato (fondly referenced as ASLC or All Saints) on

the evening of Monday, June 16.

Fundraising by Fuller Center is through bicycle adventures, tours (with sponsors, etc.). This year, Fuller Cener is sponsoring six such bicycle tours in the USA; one of these tours is “West Coast 2025” (Seattle to San Diego) with a scheduled stop in Novato on June 16. In their efforts to keep costs down on these tours, Fuller Center reaches out

to churches and faith organizations to help with overnight places to stay, and

whenever possible, with meals. Our Social Ministry team came together to make sure these guests were welcomed, fed and had a safe stay!

We opened Fellowship Hall to the bicycle riders (sleeping bags on the floor), and

provided an evening meal and breakfast the next morning.
