Mt. Cross Ministries is one of 117 sites in the ELCA's (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) Lutheran Outdoor Ministries: https://www.lomnetwork.org. Each site serves as a church in an outdoor setting, building Christian faith and providing experiences connecting the word of God with the world of God.
Mt. Cross Ministries (or simply "Mt Cross") is part of the Sierra Pacific Synod serving Northern California & Northern Nevada. Let’s peek at what Mt. Cross is publishing about their summer program, “Word of Life" - click here for additional information. It is a ‘Lutheran summer camp and retreat center located in the breathtaking Santa Cruz Mountains of California.
Surrounded by towering redwoods, a welcoming space is provided for people of
all ages to grow in faith, build community, and experience the beauty of God’s creation
through life–changing summer camps and meaningful retreat experiences. Mt. Cross
operates in consistency with the theology and culture of the ELCA.
